Our own court directory records the club at 7200 Chorro Valley Road, San Luis Obispo, with seven indoor courts, dedicated lines, and a private membership model. It notes the site is off Highway 1 behind Cuesta College but is not a Cuesta College facility, a distinction that has confused more than one listing.
The club's own website currently presents the venue as coming, and gives an Instagram account as the primary channel for updates.
Two things in our record deserve stating plainly, because they conflict with a simple "not open yet" summary. It notes the club was briefly operational in early 2024 before completing its build-out, and it carries an opening expectation that has already moved once. It also records that a widely repeated monthly membership figure is an unofficial estimate from Reddit rather than anything the club has published.
That is enough to say the project is real and locally relevant. It is not enough to publish a firm opening day, a price, or a schedule.

At the time of review, the official website does not publish a grand-opening date, daily operating hours, membership prices, drop-in or guest fees, court-reservation policies, open-play times by skill level, league or lesson schedules, or a full amenities list.
If you see those details in an old directory, a social post or a comment thread, treat them as provisional until The Hangar publishes them directly. Opening timelines change. Membership ideas change. A rumour can rank in Google long after it stops being true.
Why seven indoor courts would matter in SLO
San Luis Obispo has a strong outdoor scene. French Park provides the city's busiest public play across seven free courts, Meadow Park gives recreational and beginner players three free courts, Cal Poly has six lighted courts that opened in February 2025 for students, faculty and staff only, and Kennedy Club Fitness offers a single reservable court.
What the city has lacked is a large, dedicated indoor facility with enough courts to host several activities at once.
Seven courts could allow a club to run open play on one bank, lessons on another, and a league or private booking alongside them. Indoors also makes the experience predictable. The sun is not in a server's eyes. A coastal gust does not turn a routine third-shot drop into a weather report. A rainy week does not erase the schedule.
For tournament players, consistency means more useful drilling. For beginners, a structured club makes a first visit easier. For event organisers, multiple indoor courts create options that are difficult to guarantee outdoors.
The location: convenient for some, a deliberate trip for others
The Cuesta College area is a short drive north of central SLO on Highway 1. It may be particularly convenient for players coming from north SLO, Morro Bay or Los Osos. Players travelling from South County will want to account for the extra drive.
The tradeoff is space. A larger indoor operation is easier to imagine in the Chorro Valley corridor than in downtown SLO. If the finished club delivers reliable courts and organised play, many players will consider the drive worthwhile.
Five questions to ask when details are released
Can non-members play?
Look for day passes, guest rules and drop-in fees. A club can be valuable to visitors even when its best rates are reserved for members.
How will open play be divided?
Skill-banded sessions, challenge courts and beginner blocks create very different experiences. The schedule matters as much as the court count.
Are courts reservable?
Some players want social paddle-up games, others want a guaranteed court for a foursome. The strongest facilities make both clear.
What surface and ball will be used?
An indoor court plays differently from outdoor concrete. Surface, lighting, ceiling clearance and ball choice all affect speed and feel.
What belongs to the membership?
Ask whether leagues, clinics, tournaments, reservations and guest privileges are included or priced separately.
